Former Girlfriend model search winner and SAA favourite, Abbey Lee, has done it again starring in the 2009 Gucci Resort campaign alongside fellow model, Lily Donaldson. Abbey now has three Gucci ad campaigns under her belt with more rumored to be on the way. kershaw shows no signs of slowing down with numerous editorials coming out in the next few months Abbey looks set to dominate the coming year's catwalks, magazine editorials and major ad campaigns and I can't wait to admire each and every one that comes!!

Not only are Mary Kate and Ashley fans, but every other 'it' girl from here to London has started to layer her bells and whistles. I'm not saying that this is a reason to sport the chic look, more of a proof that women across the globe are feeling the crunch, and instead of going out and buying, they are laying on what they already have!

As you can see Coco has decided to take the plunge and go RED which I have to say looks INCREDIBLE on her, hence the capital letters! Her new do was revealed after secretly hiding it for over a month in time for the unveiling of her new Rootstein mannequins. Both of which are replicas of the now iconic and very talented model. You can see how uncanny the mannequins are to the real thing, however we all know that nothing could ever replace the gorgeous, now raven haired supermodel!

I am in love at the moment with these too cool for school slouchy denim shorts that I tried on in General pants co. the other day. I can just imagine Erin Wasson or Alice Dellal just chucking on a pair after rolling out of bed on the way to rooftop party in Brooklyn! Also whatever you do, don't get me started on the coolness of this shirt from ksubi that I have been crushing on for months!!! I don't know what exactly it is but this shirt is just plain ecstasy!! It's juxtaposition of tough and cute all rolled into one controversial black and white tee is just like the magic mixture!!
Of course the fact that both of these have a certain Alexander Wang quality doesn't go astray!

Abbey Lee Floras it.

Yay I just found out that Abbey Lee who is a favourite here at SAA is the face of Gucci's newest fragrance, Flora. Flora is a new perfume which was inspired by the houses infamous print which first appeared on a scarf made for Princess Grace circa 1966. The print was also then drawn out from the archives to appear on a highly successful range of canvas bags in 2005. The fragrance is said to be released sometime in April next year but until then we will have to be content with staring at the pretty Miss Abbey Lee until then!

December 6, 2008 Words cannot describe my joy in finding a very long lost childhood bestfriend by chance on facebook today.

What the hell has he done?

Does anyone else think that Karl Lagerfeld has finally bitten off more than he can chew? I mean would you look at what he has just sent down the runway at Chanel's Pre-Fall 2009 collection, it looks as though the guy just stole the ugly print from the carpet of my grandmother's nursing home and combined it with some of the matching drapes and then called it a day! This is NOT Chanel! This is not elegance, class, style or innovation, which are all the descriptions that I'd normally use to characterize the Chanel empire. This collection which was the first of Lagerfeld's directorial debut is a clear indication of Lagerfeld's inability to design and direct for more than one house let alone THREE! To be quite frank, I think the poor man is just starting to run out of ideas and is now resorting to trancsending Coco's life into the clothes rather than her initial concept and aesthetic. Because if Lagerfeld managed to find an inkling of time to take a step back, he would realize that Coco's life (especially her love life to which this collection was influenced by) was a lot more colorful than the muted tones that she used in her original simplistic work. Fine some of you may say that he has to design for today's fashion and be innovative, but there is definitely no innovation in a brown and orange (urgh!) wool dress (see below). To be realistic, I was wearing the exact same thing in the winter of 95'. When I was 4 yrs old!

Stephy and I had some play time today with the new Akzentz competition white. The nails were sculpted long at first for practise, and we had them shortened for the hand model. Nails were finished using Options clear sparkles and gold diamond flakes.
