Working on Magazine Covers with the Pros

 

Had the pleasure of working with two very established magazines in the nail industry while in the US and looking forward to their 2011 issues. Kudos to these very dedicated and passionate people who have been supporting the nail industry with all the behind-the-scenes work and keeping the industry updated with the latest information/news and giving nailtechs the opportunity to express their art.

VIVCAT L.A with Guest Artist GINA Silvestro

What a great bunch of nailtechs!  VivCat had so much fun at the recent Los Angeles class at Beverly Hills. I have to say that L.A is a little over-rated for me, with all the traffic and fog/pollution, it's not my favourite city in the US, however the great people that came to our class and the people that we met & worked with at the magazines made up for the city's shortcomings. We managed to get lost while driving (using the tomtom navigation) and almost made it to Santa Barbara and back. The shopping experience was great though, I would go back just for Camarillo :):):)

Going natural...I took off my long over the top nails and went for the "celebrity nail look" by Gina, short, classy and natural :)

Been very busy lately especially after finding out that I was accepted to study at The University of New York in Stonybrook!!!! Yay I can't wait to hit up New York in the vintage fur that I got the day before I found out...sorry peta its vintage at least? Ok that doesn't make it any better your right. I will probably have poor helpless little dead rabbits and bears and foxes entering my dreams at night from now on. Dayuum that sucks.

Anyway so I have been working heeaaaapppppssss trying to save up as I'm also going to Vietnam for 3 weeks before that yikes! Ok I'm off to a friends 21st now so I shall leave you with some drool worthy MK in a shaggy I'm going to hell in a fur jacket porn!!!

BAMBI BAMBI BAMBI BAMBI NORTHWOOD-BLYTH. what a babe. Definitely been one of my favourite models for the last few months however I was getting worried that she was getting too much exposure because yes that can happen in modelling. Unfortunately I think this happened to a certain degree with Brisbane model Hannah Glasby.

So moral of the story is that it was good to see Bambi go abroad and do so well especially with capturing the attention of LOVE editor Katie Grand! I do believe that she is also now engaged to boyfriend Dan Single.

Better known as one half of the Ksubi design duo, Dan is also a popular DJ and goes by the name of Dangerous Dan and is part of the six piece DJ Bang Gang. You also may be interested to know that Bambi used to be called Stephanie but Bambi definitely suits her nicely as a model name!
