My Favourtie Nail Polishes

Starting from left to right.....

Sinfulcolors - Whats your name?
This is a black with green/purple glitter in it. It's definitely more of a winter colour. Its lovely to apply and opaque in two coats.

Illamasqua - Purity
From the toxic nature collection, this is a light peachy colour. I had been looking for a colour like this for ages, and i was so happy i found this. It's a perfect summer colour. Easy to apply and lasts on the nails for ages.

Nails inc - London
I got this when Diet coke did the first free nail varnish with two bottles of coke offer. I don't think i could describe this colour. Its lighter, slightly more purple colour than Chanel - Particuliere. (which is next to this one in the picture) This is one of my all time favorite nail polishes. I really wish i had a back up of it. I'm going to be upset when its gone. :(

Chanel - Particuliere
Every beauty lover has seen/owns this. I think its a very sophisticated colour, and one of those you could where at anytime with anything.

17 - Parma Violet and Mint Choc Chip
I purchased these two last summer on a whim, and fell in love as soon as i applied them. They are both lovely summer colours. Parma Violet being a light purple/pink and Hot Choc Chip being a green, turquoise. When the sun starts shinning i grab for these.

Revlon - Blue Lagoon
One of my most recent nail polish purchases. This is a light blue with a slight shimmer/sparkle. I think i love looking at this in the bottle more than wearing it. (silly, i know) As like all revlon nail polishes, this is great to apply and lasts a long time.

I'm on the quest to find a milky pink polish at the moment. Any excuse to buy more. Hehe.
What are your favorite nail polishes?

The Great Man Himself has Moved On.

Catherine Deneuve and Yves Saint-Laurent circa 1966

It's official. Mr Yves Saint Laurent has passed away at the young age of 71 after having suffered from sickness for several of months prior to his death on Sunday evening (local time) Paris, France. The Fashion genius whose last haute couture collection was in 2002 after 40yrs in the business was first discovered by then Vogue editor-in-chief Michel de Brunoff when he saw Saint Laurent's sketches. Laurent was considered a shy child who as a result found a love for fashion that has benefited socialites, princesses and other fashionably able woman ever since. His second stint in fashion came after he was taken under the wing of Christion Dior only to step up to Christian's postion after his death three years later. Yves often described as the most versatile of all his fellow courtiers was once described by Christion Lacroix as,

"...much more versatile, like a combination of all of them. I sometimes think he's got the form of Chanel with the opulence of Dior and the wit of Schiaparelli"

The man sinonimous with style has left us, but his legend will stay on for centuries to come and in this case I think it's relvent to mention , "Fashions fade, style is eternal"Yves Saint Laurent.

Love Always xoxo

Sex and the City Fashion Feast

Bag: Timmy Woods, Shoes:Dior

Photos: Unknown numerous sources none of which are my own.

Lately I have become OBSESSED! After months of waiting for the Sex and the City movie to debut, we fashionistas have been blessed by the paparazzi who have been busy snapping away at the brand new outfits that our girls are wearing on set. The amazing outfits that these lucky girls get to parade around in are the creation of talented and notable designers with the likes of Manolo Blahnik -made famous by the girls-, Dolce and Gabbana, Zac Posen, Prada, Blumarine, Chanel, Roberto Cavalli and an enviable pair of Dior shoes worn through out the movie (and I can even show you where to get these beauties at a fraction of the Dior price tag). Of course none of these designers clothes would look as stylish together if the amazing Patricia Field had not created such great silhouettes and unthinkable yet genius and kooky combinations of outfits. Patricia Field constructed the wardrobe for the award wining series and has, as is expected, continued on for the movie. Patricia also created the wardrobe for "The Devil Wears Prada" which was nominated for an Oscar and BAFTA Flim Award and is currently collaborating for the movie, "Confessions of a Shopaholic". Undoubtedly the awards will begin to flow in after the movie is released next month on the 30th. Sadly the movie doesn't come out in Australia till the 5th of June but if you want a sneak preview of some of the outfits used in the movie the ones above should satisfy.

Stay tuned cause tomorrow I'll be telling you how you can achieve a couple of the looks featured without the featuring price tag!!

P.S. The pictures featured are about 1/100th of the amount of my entire collection from the movie so I'll be featuring some new ones tomorrow.

Love Always xoxo
