Obsessed with that Dress.

Left: Emily Blunt in New York Times Style Magazine Spring 08 and Right: Kirstin Dunst in Miu Miu's Spring 08 Ad Campaign

That dress. Yes, that one we all love. The Miu Miu body con Fit'n'flare dress. First seen on the likes of Kirstin Dunst in the ad campaign and then spotted on celebrities alike. Why is it such a stunner? Is it the sheer simplicity of the thing or is it the fact that it can only be worn by girls with stick legs which therefore means that it has no chance at looking anything but enviable? Well it could be because of either of those reasons, but who cares I mean it's not like I'll be wearing it anytime soon!
For starters I don't have the bank account and don't even get me started on the legs that go with it either.
But more importantly was I lying when I said that we all adore this dress or was I just being a little prejudiced?

Oh and by the way if you like myself are desperatly seeking a copy, check out this version at ASOS!

Anxiously Awaiting your thoughts xoxo,

Return of the Indie-cum-Herion-Chic Girl-But is it a good thing?

Lately I've been noticing that we're heading into a recession. No, not the economic type though that may be the case, instead the recession we are heading into is the heroin chic/grunge kind. Ever so recently I've been noticing the sudden reemergence of Anna Wintour's favourite thing,-that's a joke-the heroin chic girl. Yes, this heroin chic era did go a little underground for a while but slowly it has been banding together its supporters and suddenly this resurgence of the trend has hit us fashionistas square between the eyes!

It's strongly noted that Kate Moss was the model that started the movement with her willowy looks and wide set eyes and it is her again that is leading this team in the battle for total domination. Her strong band of followers now not only include the models but also indie actresses, it girls and some infamous people's daughters. Some of these girls are Cory Kennedy, Chloe Sevigny, Lou Doillin, Daisy Lowe, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and even Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen. Each of these girls has her own take on the trend but does not strictly adhere to its every aspect incorporating a bit of themselves and their interpretations into the trend. So how long will this trend last, who knows? But one things for sure is that you won't see these girls digging into a McDonald's Burger anytime soon!

Love Always xoxo,
